A: I plan to interview one of two people. One of them is my mother's co-worker who is currently studying orginaztional leadership. I hope to get some insight in general leadership and the qualities of a leader and also I hope I can get a better understanding of what orginazational leadership is and the importance of it.
The other interviewee is an ASB director at another high school. She teaches a leadership class (ASB) and i hope that I will learn several methods of leadership. As well as other techniques of working with groups; perhaps some techniques that have never been exposed at iPoly.
Q: You have been assigned 5 questions. What more do you plan to ask?
A: I would ask questions such as the following:
- What other types of leaderships exist?
- In your opinion, what kind of outcome would I receive through this project?
Interview Reflection #1
Q: What is the most important thing I learned from the interview and why?
A: The most important thing that I learned from Ms. Amezcua was when she told me how she ran her job position. She leads with a democratic style with some autocratic traits. She listens to everyone and tries to make her workers happy that will also satisfy her needs. If they suggest something and she does not agree with it, she will go with her own instinct because she knows what is best. She is the leader that has a vivid vision for her and her companion's goal. Since she told me this, I have always put that thought in the back of my mind. Now I use her style when I am working with my club officers in the Companion Club.
Second Interview Questions:
What can you tell me about leadership positions in the field of this business?
Which leadership position are you currently working in and what purpose does it serve? (I'm not sure if this counts as the background of the person, as stated on the contract)
Can you tell me the significance of an entrepreneurial business in leadership as opposed to a other types of businesses?
Which traits, qualities, and motives are required to run a successful business like this one as well as other types of businesses?
What mental preparations can a leader make for oneself?
Can you tell me about the importance of organization when it comes to running a buisness?
My last interview was a woman who was studying organizational leadership. Can you tell me where her position would fall under and the importance of that duty?
(Does it have to be only five questions? If so, then I will choose five out of these seven questions)

Looks like you have a good start. I like your question about types of leadership. I'm confused by the one about the outcome. Maybe you could revise it to be more clear?
ReplyDeleteEric- Please figure out how to set up your blog so that the most recent post automatically shows. Most everyone in class has it that way. If you have trouble, I'm sure someone can show you.
ReplyDeleteThese questions are great. No need to ask only 5.
Okay I will do that, sorry about the trouble.
ReplyDeleteOkay great thank you!
